Stability with flexibility

Choose the length of tenancy that suits you best, from one year upwards. If your circumstances change and you wish to move out before the end of your fixed term tenancy, we’ll shorten the lease at your request with just 56 days notice and, so long as you’ve kept up your side of the bargain, we won’t stand in your way - no strings, no penalties.

Service, not hassle

Each of our communities has a dedicated Community Manager who visits the community regularly. Their job is to support and assist you, from moving in to meeting your neighbours and arranging events.

If there are any niggly issues you need fixing, you’ll be supported by our comprehensive maintenance programme which is easy to access by phone, email, online, through the MyLiving app or the next time you see your Community Manager.

Quality homes in good areas

Our purpose-built homes are modern, healthy and designed to last. They’re located in welcoming neighbourhoods close to transport hubs, excellent schools, restaurants, fitness centres, parks and other amenities. Our Community Managers get to know the local businesses and will arrange discounts and benefits with local shops, cafes, clubs and businesses - all accessible to you through the mobile phone MyLiving app.

Your home, your way

With one, two and three bedroom apartments and townhouses available, we’ve got a property that will suit everyone. We want you to feel that you can make our house your home, so we’ll do our best to accommodate as many good ideas as possible - pets and minor modifications aren’t a problem.

It won’t always be possible to accommodate every request, but our starting point is always “let’s see if we can say yes”.

Stay connected

Thriving communities are built on shared experiences so, where possible, our communities have communal spaces and amenities. These could be a vegetable garden, composting facilities, bike storage and BBQ or social spaces.

Our mobile phone MyLiving app puts your community at your fingertips, enabling you to connect with your neighbours through resident-initiated events, hobbies and clubs.

A commitment to improvement

We’re committed to continually improving our communities as we grow, from service and environment to technology and  facilities. Our newest communities will include some or all of the following features: pre-arranged power and internet connections, solar power generation, centralised hot water systems, furnished home options, and mobile phone tenants app with digital keys embedded.

An altogether better rental property model.

Since 2014 New Ground Living has been pioneering a whole new way for New Zealand’s renting households to rent - it’s renting the way it should be.

The Build-to-Rent concept is common overseas but is relatively new to New Zealand. Essentially, we design and build homes specifically for long-term tenants with a service model that puts our customers at the front and centre. We want them to rent, stay and enjoy their lives in a New Ground Living community. 

Not all of our communities will be the same, and as we grow we are learning more and more about what works best for New Zealand renters and our local communities. As New Zealand’s first specialist Build-to-Rent provider, we continue to study and learn from the most successful rental markets around the world, while all the time adapting these ideas to suit our local rental market. Most of all, we listen to our existing customers so that we can become the landlord of choice for Kiwi households.
